Computer and Network Administration
The increased use of computers has created a demand for specialist to provide technical support to users, as well as for day-to-day administration, maintenance, and support of computer networks. The Computer and Network Administration Program provides training in computer networking, including how to install, configure, maintain, and support local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), Internet systems, and wireless configurations that use a diverse number of network operating systems. This program also includes training in the fundamentals of network security best practices and in a number of Microsoft Active Directory principles. In addition, the curriculum includes a study of general computer science, including computer architecture, networking principles, and desktop and server operating systems and applications. As a graduate of this program, you may qualify for entry-level positions such as: - Network Operator
