Keiser University’s Bachelor of Arts degree in Health Services Administration provides a basic understanding of health services administration and of the unique skills needed by a health service administrator. Topics include coding and billing, public and private healthcare and financial and legal issues in healthcare.

Computer Graphics and Design
Keiser University’s Associate of Science degree in Graphics Design teaches commercial art that visually communicates ideas and information to a targeted audience. Contemporary graphic designers use computers configured as graphics workstations to create works containing imagery and text for traditional print mediums and electronic delivery systems such as CD-ROM and the Internet.
Instruction includes page layout, advertising, multimedia, video editing, web design, illustration, 3-D modeling and animation. Students are prepared to use a variety of computer formats to create commercial art, and are assisted in gaining employment in advertising and marketing firms, print and electronic publication companies, video/film industry and in-house graphics departments.

Medical Assisting (AS)
Keiser University’s Associate of Science degree in Medical Assisting prepares students to perform medical assisting duties under direction of a physician/practitioner, including preparing examination rooms, taking vital signs, assisting in minor surgical procedures, giving injections, performing venipuncture, assisting in laboratory operations, taking x-rays and administering electrocardiograms. Medical assistants also learn to function in an administrative capacity, including patient communications, maintaining patient records, billing, scheduling appointments, ordering supplies and processing insurance claims.

Keiser University's Associate of Science degree in Radiologic Technology prepares students for entry-level positions in the profession, producing radiographic images in accordance with standardized practices and procedures. The program provides radiologic information including medical terminology, patient care, radiographic procedures, radiation protection, equipment operations and image production and evaluation.

The program prepares students in both business and health service administration, providing courses on business law, management and marketing principles, medical anatomy, physiology and terminology and front office management.

Criminal Justice (AA)
Keiser University’s Associate of Arts degree in Criminal Justice presents the major components of the American criminal justice system. It includes criminal behavior patterns, law enforcement organizations, juvenile systems, legal principles and doctrines and fundamentals of criminal investigations. Courses utilize hands-on activities and analytical exercises to supplement the presentation of academic information.
Students will develop an understanding of the American criminal justice system; be presented with a review of institutions, laws, theories and players that make up the system; and be prepared for employment or advancement in law enforcement fields.

Keiser University’s Associate of Arts degree in Accounting focuses on entry-level accounting skills needed in today’s business environment. The program provides a basic understanding of essential business skills and addresses unique skills needed by an accounting clerk. Topics include financial accounting, accounting software and tax accounting.
Objectives include the application of generally accepted accounting principles to preparation of financial data used in business decision making; proper recording of business transactions; and an understanding of business and accounting-related software applications.

Keiser University’s Associate of Science degree in Nursing prepares students to practice professional nursing. Professional nursing involves the performance of those acts requiring substantial specialized knowledge, judgment and nursing skill based upon applied principles of biological, physical, psychological and social sciences. The nursing practice of a professional nurse includes observation, assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care; health teaching and counseling of individuals who may be ill, injured or infirm; promotion of wellness, maintenance of health, and prevention of illness of others; and administration of treatments and medications as prescribed in accordance with the standards of nursing practice.

The RN will be prepared for a broader scope of practice and for entry into master’s or doctoral nursing programs. The curriculum provides the RN with a better understanding of the cultural, political, economic, and social issues that affect patients and influence health care delivery. Special emphasis will be given to the preparation of a nurse who is educated in the allocation and management of physical, fiscal, and human resources. Opportunities for the RN to specialize at the baccalaureate level will be provided in the form of various nursing, business, and criminal justice electives.

Keiser University’s Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology Management is a degree completion program for those who have already earned an Associate Degree in a computer-related field. The curriculum is designed to prepare computer technicians with a minimum of 6 months full time experience for a role as an I.T. professional, supervisor, or manager. Graduates will be prepared to assume these roles immediately upon graduation or continue on to a Master’s degree program in either business or technology field of study.
